what the hell are reputation comments?

Reputation comments are comments that forum members can leave for you by clicking on the scales icon on the left side of a given post.

and their function?

Positive comments increase your reputation score. Negative cmments lower your score. The higher your score, the more influence your comments have on others' scores. But mostly, they're just a handy way of telling the poster that you thought a post was very good or provide feedback on the post.

Would be nice if people left their name when they left a reputation comment, though. *snicker* I hate not knowing who's thanking me for something. :-P

When you have the little grey icons does that mean its negative and the little green ones mean that its positive? The comment on mine seemed positive, but had the grey icon...what does that mean?

Yeah I don't understand the little icons either. I thought the dots were what alignment you are - but what is the little red construction sign? ::blink::
