First, I want to say that I do like the additional regen bonus. However, have we now rendered an (arguably) useful shaman skill useless? I know there are differences of opinion regarding whether meditate was ever something to be used, but now that we have a regen bonus and that bonus does not impact regen during meditate, have we relagated meditate to the heap of weave, give move, harvest, necroport, etc, etc....

Yep, that's what we've done.

It may just be eaiser to list the skills that are still useful to a shaman rather than trying to list all the skills that have become useless.

There is another thread about that topic. I am glad that Tynian made it clear that there is an effort to further marginalize shaman.

Now Ana...I doubt this was aimed at Shaman.
In fact, it's a pretty elegant solution to several items we've discussed recently:
1. Gives CON gear extra value.
2. Makes Single-Classed Warriors more viable
3. Mitigates the power of Health amulets without making them worthless (referring to the 17% decrease in effectiveness).
4. Gives non-Health wearers a bit more parity when it comes to exping.
I don't have an active Shaman right now to test this, but I suspect Meditate is still a bit faster (there's a tick or two lag before the accelerated healing begins) not to mention medding regens mana as well as hp's.
I don't know what's on Tyn's agenda for the near future, but given the amount of discussion here, I suspect Shaman is one of those things.
Patience, grasshopper...patience. :)

Pol I agree with you. If you read my post, the first thing I say is that I think it is a good idea. However, what I tried to indicate in my post was that it had an unintended effect of rendering meditate useless. My suggestion is that the bonus work with meditate for even better results. My later response was to Tynian's response to me which seemed to imply that either the result was intended or is of no consequence.
