I know the player base is a little low, but Nic seems to really want to make a true blue following. As it is, this is something that TFC lacks at the moment, and I feel it could bring back a great and fun aspect of the game.

(yes, i know Thor is good-aligned, but his following is a joke of a blue following)

As always, it's nice to see anyone put some solid attention and thought into the mud, and I feel Nic has done this. Retired immortals have been brought back in the past, and if Nic is hoping to spark some new life into the game, when why not? Perhaps if would be different if many qualified mortals were knocking on the door wanting to step up and be an immortal. This may be the case, but if not, sometimes having a new (albeit retired) immortal sparks increased activity. Variety is the spice of life, and right now, choices for an immortal lacks that variety. I don't have the experience of many of players out there to know what is best for the mud, and I'm not the most knowledgeable about the game by far, but I do know if Nic were an immortal, I'd make a character and join him. ::up::

- Yes, Nic is retired
- Nic's current and renewed attention to the MUD has been thoughtful and demonstrates a long-term interest and commitment to TFC. (see his innumerable posts) He has played since the mid-90s and knows the game and the players
- Nic was/is a popular Imm
- I believe that some retired players will come back to play with Nic as an Imm
- I believe existing players will create new characters to worship Nic
- There is no true "blue" following on the MUD at present (how can Thor not have any Red enemies and only Neutral enemies? But, that's another thread)
- A blue following will be good for the MUD
- Nic should be allowed to return as an Active immortal

Bolded and requoted for truth. Bloos need to "eliminat[e] evil in any form it may take." (That quote was taken from the only bloo fli's finfo.) Not be nice to them!!

Die nasty evils!! Oh wait....I -am- evil.....*sigh* Oh wait it still works, I killed everyone! Well, *I* didn't, my lovelies did....Hooray! ::up:: :>

Anyway, vote for Nic...or I shall uhh....well...be an annoying retired immortal! Yep, that's about all I can do! ::surprise::

Cordir,

I was not going to add to this thread at all, however, I am saddened and shocked that you of all people are opposed to giving someone another chance.

When I left I simply did not have the time to committ to the mud that the mud deserved. It would have been far worse for me to give it a half effort.

Yeah, I was the mortal the gear was given to to get to Mael. That was a sticky situation all around.

I'm all for second chances. Cordir may or may not be, these days, but that's her right. There were those on TFC who were against her return, as well.

I just was hurt by the vote and felt it was somewhat hipocritical.

Its not like this vote matters at all anyway.

Well, this is crappy -- berating Cordir for voting on a poll that you essentially commissioned from Dauthi, and of course drudging up an unhappy incident for Cordir because she voted on said poll.

And this sort of clearly vindictive behavior shows that you deserve a second chance?

Heh.

Hostile and unproductive thread closed.
